Intersectional Environmentalist
Kiana is the co-founder and Programs Director at Intersectional Environmentalist(IE), an environmental justice collective with a following of over 430k+ people, that offers training + consulting, creates educational resources + events, and works to empower + instill joy in people of color and historically underinvested in communities within the environmental movement. Kiana co-directs the leadership of the IE team, and spearheads the development + implementation of IE’s community programming.
Beaker
Kiana is the co-founder and CEO of Beaker, a data-driven social good company creating accessible tools and resources that enable consumers to more easily center sustainability and justice in their lives. Beaker was founded by Kiana and her partner, who are both data scientists and environmentalists and struggled to determine the ethical and environmental footprints of brands they shopped from.
Storytelling + Content Creation
Kiana is a passionate storyteller, writing on topics such as environmental justice, eco-anxiety, climate optimism, technology, and more. She has partnered with brands such REI, Verizon, Instagram, and more, to bring to life accessible educational resources + share the stories of frontline grassroots organizers. Kiana works with brands to harness the power of storytelling through an intersectional lens.
